From infrastructure to strategy.

My career started close to the technology itself: infrastructure, platforms, datacenters and the systems organizations depend on every day.

Over time, the questions became broader. Not simply which technology to deploy, but why. Where should a workload run? What should move to the cloud — and what should not? How can organizations innovate without creating unnecessary complexity, risk or dependency?

This evolution has taken my work from technology architecture into cloud strategy, governance, cybersecurity, resilience and, increasingly, AI-driven operations.

Today, as Chief Cloud Officer at 4ward, I work at the intersection of strategy and technology, helping organizations understand where innovation can create real value and how to introduce it in a controlled, resilient and sustainable way.

Principles matter.

Technology changes constantly. The principles behind good decisions should not.

Clarity, preparation, discipline, accountability and continuous learning have shaped the way I approach technology and leadership throughout my career.

I believe complex problems rarely need complicated answers. They require a clear understanding of the context, the willingness to challenge assumptions and the discipline to make deliberate decisions — and to learn from their outcomes.

Sharing knowledge is part of the journey.

Alongside my professional role, community and knowledge sharing have always been an important part of my work.

I have been a Microsoft MVP in Cloud and Datacenter Management since 2016 and a Microsoft Certified Trainer since 2012. I lead the Italian Cloud Community, regularly speak at technology events and conferences, and share perspectives and lessons from the field through articles, webinars, podcasts and other community initiatives.

I am also the author of Azure Local Unleashed, a book that brings together many of the architectural, operational and strategic themes that have shaped my work around hybrid infrastructure.
